Slumber Party!

The party is over, the only thing I want to do right now is go to sleep. I'm about to hit sugar crash mode. Only Nellie and Kit are still overly wired. Gillian has already fallen asleep. Now that you know how it ends, I'll start at the beginning.

Jocelyn arrived first with more candy than is necessary at Halloween! Peanut Butter cups, M&M's, gummies, chocolate bars, rock candy, suckers. . . You get the idea. I think her parents robbed a candy store! Anyways, we made ourselves in charge of putting it into bowls. And eating it! Jess showed up 15 minutes later with her dad. Mother made us promise not to burn the house down or leave the house.
"But if the house burn down, can we leave then?" I asked.
Mother gave me her look usual look, the one reserved for me that says "Why?" is the most desperate way. I know I'm her favorite. She and Casey left and the party began.

Liz and Samantha brought all the food down to the basement and made themselves in charge of getting drinks. For the best since some of us are kinda, sorta, really clumsy. There was regular pizza, pizza rolls, and Nellie's pizza/taco creations which are more disgusting than good but edible. For dessert there was candy (of course), ice cream cones, cookies, and brownies. Jess' dad makes the best brownies in the world. They have peanut butter in them.

After all the food, watching a movie sounded like the best idea. But all the food made us sleepy!
We had to do something fast. Samantha and Liz got out the pillows and crashed the party.
It was insane! Stuffed animals, pillows, monkeys flying through the air. Gillian tripped and knocked Jocelyn down, who in turn bumped into me.
Samantha refused to quit and kept bonking Kit on the head. Gillian started yelling for everyone to settle down before we got hurt. Since Gillian is usually so quiet, we all heeded her at once.

We thusly resumed our movie and ate some more. At about midnight, everyone started to fall asleep. I snuck out and snapped this picture of JJ:
How she can breathe is a miracle to me. Not to mention she forgot to take her glasses off. I know she goes through more pairs that way.

Tomorrow I will post pictures of our PJ Fashion Show.

Almost Party Time!

JJ and Jess should be arriving soon for the biggest sleepover in history! Well, my history anyway. Mother is dropping the babies off at Grandma's house right now. Liz and Nellie are making pizza. Kit and Gillian are taking down all the blankets and pillows they can find to the basement. I decided we are going to watch 102 Dalmatians. I think it's Disney, but I don't really care 'cause it's one of my favorites, as far as kid's movies go anyway.

I hear the doorbell, better go. JJ said she would bring candy. I can't wait to see what kind!

Where's JJ?

Here is total proof that it is too hot and nothing happens. I found a picture from the 4th of JJ that I forgot about. And since I haven't had anything else to post in awhile, here it is:
Yup, summer has officially become too long. On the plus side, Jess is back from Hawaii. Negative side, she didn't bring me anything. Oh, well, I didn't ask for anything anyway. Her dad got sunburned pretty bad. He has the most hilarious burn pattern. Goes great with his red hair.

The J's and I are planning a huge slumber party before school starts again. We decided it will be at my house. The best part? Mother and Jess' dad are going out so there will be NO parental supervision! Yee Ha! However Elizabeth will be there, BUT Samantha is also coming over and as soon as they pop in one of those Twilight movies we will never see them. So it will be Jess, Jocelyn, Kit, Nellie, Gillian and myself for the night. Anyone have any suggestions on what we should do? The girls want to watch a movie, but it has to be Disney because of Jess and my younger sisters. We've never had this big of a sleepover before. I can't wait!

Cleaning

Mother said I need to clean my room today before it looks like a UFO crashed in my bedroom. I don't think it's too messy, but Mother rules. Luckily the J's were over to help. Jess and her dad stopped by before they left for their trip to Hawaii. She is so lucky! Her dad had to get a few last minute things, Mother went with him and told me I was in charge and if I got my room cleaned and babysat Gillian, she would pay me. So it was off to work.

See? Not too terribly messy.
I started putting away clothes. Jess made the bed. Jocelyn played with my Lego horses, Gillian put away my school supplies. Jess got a new outfit for her trip. She's going to be gone a whole week.
We finished in no time! Which meant we had time to go on the internet and make sure the '90's hadn't come back.Sometimes JJ's wardrobe scares me and I was just a baby in the '90's. But I guess she can pull it off, being as cute as she is. That's my JJ!

Family Picture

It's been too hot these past few days to do anything. Jocelyn and I go swimming a couple times a week; anything to cool off. You know what the worst thing to do when it's hot is? Take a family picture. Mother thought since all of us have been hanging around that we needed to get some "bonding" in. Taking a family picture is not bonding. Taking a family picture is what causes sisters to pull each other's hair out and scream every word they are not supposed to know. So, for all our pain, here's the picture.
I know we look so attractive in our summer clothes. What scares me is how much we all look alike! Annie and I are the only ones without blue eyes. Mine are hazel and Annie's are brown. Anyway, I think I look adorable as usual. Anyone else dying from the summer heat?

Hiking on the Fourth

My family, Jocelyn's family, and Jess and her dad had a picnic and went hiking yesterday. It was crazy! Too many girls! But it was fun. We had hamburgers and roasted marshmallows and made s'mores. Who over thought of roasting marshmallows and sticking it between two graham crackers with chocolate? That person was a genius.

To burn off all the sugar from the lemonade we drank by the gallon, the J's and I found some rocks to climb. Jess was on such a sugar buzz, she climbed as well.
Turns out she can be quite the risk taker.
Ah, the screams of the grown-ups telling her to be careful.

It was trees galore for me. Like my new cowboy boots? I'll have to take some better pictures of them, they have embroidery on the sides.

Of course it's not a picnic without having to pose for pictures. JJ said I should sit in the back since I'm such a donkey's butt about hogging the camera. Am totally not. JJ had too many cookies.

Jess' House

I went to Jess' house to play today. She used to live in this huge house, but she and her dad moved to a small house a few months ago. But it's still awesome with all this expensive furniture that matches. Jess has an antique-ish bedroom set.

Of course JJ and I aren't used to being around nice furniture and we started throwing around Jess' soccer ball.
She stopped us faster than you can say "monkey butt".
I'm all, "Jess, we're just having fun. We're being careful."
"You guys don't know how to be careful," she informs us.
So we headed downstairs to have a snack and watch a movie
